Have you not seen how your Lord spread the shadow. If He willed, He could have made it still then We have made the sun its guide [i.e. after the sunrise, it (the shadow) squeezes and vanishes at midnoon and then again appears in the afternoon with the decline of the sun, and had there been no sun light, there would have been no shadow]. 45 Then We draw it back to Us, withdrawing it little by little. 46 And it is He who has made the night for you as clothing and sleep [a means for] rest and has made the day a resurrection. 47 And it is He who sendeth forth the winds as a herald before His mercy and We send down from the heaven water pure. 48 That We may give life thereby to a dead land, and We give many beasts and men that We have created to drink thereof. 49 And We set it forth among them, that they may be admonished, but most men begrudge aught save infidelity. 50 Now had We so willed, We could have [continued as before and] raised up a [separate] warner in every single community: 51 so do not yield to those who deny the truth, but strive with the utmost strenuousness by means of this [Quran, to convey its message to them]. 52 ۞ It is He Who has let free the two bodies of flowing water: One palatable and sweet, and the other salt and bitter; yet has He made a barrier between them, a partition that is forbidden to be passed. 53 And it is He who created of water a mortal, and made him kindred of blood and marriage; thy Lord is All-powerful. 54 And yet, some people worship, instead of God, things that can neither benefit them nor harm them: thus, he who denies the truth does indeed turn his back on his Sustainer! 55 But thee We only sent to give glad tidings and admonition. 56 Say, "I do not ask of you for it any payment - only that whoever wills might take to his Lord a way." 57 Hence, place thy trust in the Living One who dies not, and extol His limitless glory and praise: for none is as aware as His creatures' sins as He 58 Who created the heavens and the earth and whatsoever is in-between them in six days, then He established Himself on the Throne - the Compassionate! so, concerning Him, ask any one informed. 59 And when it is said to them: "Prostrate to the Most Beneficent (Allah)! They say: "And what is the Most Beneficent? Shall we fall down in prostration to that which you (O Muhammad SAW) command us?" And it increases in them only aversion. ۩ 60
