Most Auspicious is He Who created lofty towers in the sky and placed a lamp in it, and the luminous moon. 61 And it is He who has made the night and the day in succession for whoever desires to remember or desires gratitude. 62 The (true) servants of the Merciful are those who walk humbly on the earth who, when the ignorant people behave insolently towards them, say, "Peace to you" 63 and who remember their Sustainer far into the night, prostrating themselves and standing; 64 And those who say, "Our Lord, avert from us the punishment of Hell. Indeed, its punishment is ever adhering; 65 evil it is as a lodging-place and an abode'; 66 And [they are] those who, when they spend, do so not excessively or sparingly but are ever, between that, [justly] moderate 67 those who never invoke any other deity besides God, nor take a life which God has made sacred, except with the right to do so, nor commit adultery. Anyone who does that shall face punishment: 68 [but] shall have his suffering doubled on Resurrection Day: for on that [Day] he shall abide in ignominy. 69 Excepted, however, shall be they who repent and attain to faith and do righteous deeds: for it is they whose [erstwhile] bad deeds God will transform into good ones - seeing that God is indeed much-forgiving, a dispenser of grace, 70 He who repents and does good works truly turns to Allah in repentance, 71 And those who will not witness vanity, but when they pass near senseless play, pass by with dignity. 72 who, when they are reminded of the signs of their Lord, fall not down thereat deaf and blind; 73 And who say: Our Lord! Vouchsafe us comfort of our wives and of our offspring, and make us patterns for (all) those who ward off (evil). 74 Those shall be recompensed with the highest heaven, for that they endured patiently, and they shall receive therein a greeting and --' Peace!' 75 Abiding there for ever. Happy is it as abode and station! 76 Say, "What would my Lord care for you, if you do not call on Him. Because you have indeed rejected the truth and His punishment is bound to overtake you. 77
