The Poets (Alshu'araa')
227 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah) before The Ant (Al-Naml)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Ta. Sin. Mim. 1 These are the verses of the perspicuous Book. 2 Possibly you may risk your life (O dear Prophet Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him) by grieving, because they did not believe. 3 If We willed, We could send down to them from the sky a sign for which their necks would remain humbled. 4 And no revelation comes to them anew from the Most Merciful except that they turn away from it. 5 For they have already denied, but there will come to them the news of that which they used to ridicule. 6 Do they not see the earth, how many of every noble kind We have caused to grow in it? 7 Most surely there is a sign in that, but most of them will not believe. 8 And verily, thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 9
