The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Ta-Seen-Meem. (Alphabets of the Arabic language – Allah, and to whomever he reveals, know their precise meanings.) 1 These are the verses of the illustrious Book. 2 You will perhaps kill yourself with anguish because they are not accepting the faith. 3 Had We wanted, We would have sent them a miracle from the sky to make their heads hang down in submission. 4 And never comes there unto them a Reminder as a recent revelation from the Most Beneficent (Allah), but they turn away therefrom. 5 Surely they have done with denying; soon will come to them the news of what they were laughing at. 6 Do they not look at the earth,- how many noble things of all kinds We have produced therein? 7 Verily, in this is a Sign: but most of them do not believe. 8 And most surely your Lord is the Mighty, the Merciful. 9
