And when your Lord called to Moses, saying: 'Go to the harmdoing nation, 10 The folk of Pharaoh. Will they not ward off (evil)? 11 He said, “My Lord, I fear that they will deny me.” 12 I feel nervous and my tongue is not fluent, so send Aaron with me. 13 And they have a crime against me, so I fear that they shall slay me. 14 Allah said: "By no means! proceed then, both of you, with Our Signs; We are with you, and will listen (to your call). 15 They came to the Pharaoh and said, "We are the Messengers of the Lord of the Universe. 16 Send the Israelites with us". 17 The Pharaoh said, "Did we not bring you up in our home as an infant and did you not live with us for many years 18 Yet you committed the deed you did, surely you are one of the ingrates." 19 He said: I did it then while I was of those unable to see the right course; 20 and I fled from you because I feared you. But [since] then my Sustainer has endowed me with the ability to judge [between right and wrong,] and has made me one of [His] message-bearers. 21 Is this then the blessing with which you reproach me, that you have the Children of Israel for worshipers' 22 Firon said: And what is the Lord of the worlds? 23 (Moses) said: Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, if ye had but sure belief. 24 Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said to those around: "Do you not hear (what he says)?" 25 He said, 'Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients' 26 Fir'awn said: verily your apostle who hath been sent unto you is mad. 27 He said: The Lord of the east and the west and what is between them, if you understand. 28 Pharaoh said, "If you put forward any god other than me, I will surely put you in prison". 29 He said: even though I bring unto thee something manifest? 30 Pharaoh said: "Then bring it if you are truthful at all." 31 So [Moses] threw his staff, and suddenly it was a serpent manifest. 32 And he drew forth his hand, and lo! it appeared white to the onlookers. 33
