And when thy Lord called Moses, saying: Go unto the wrongdoing folk, 10 The people of Fir'aun (Pharaoh). Will they not fear Allah and become righteous?" 11 He said, “My Lord, I fear that they will deny me.” 12 and my breast will be straitened, and my tongue will not be loosed; so send to Aaron. 13 “And they have an accusation against me, so I fear that they may kill me.” 14 Said He, 'No indeed; but go, both of you, with Our signs, and We assuredly shall be with you, listening. 15 go both to Pharaoh and both of you say to him: 'We are (each) a Messenger from the Lord of all the Worlds. 16 Then send with us the children of Israel. 17 Pharaoh said: "Did we not bring you up among us when you were a child? 18 and you did the deed which you did. You are certainly ungrateful." 19 Moses replied: "I committed that act erringly. 20 I fled from you because I feared you. But my Lord has given me judgment and made me one of the Messengers. 21 “And is this some great reward for which you express favour upon me – that you have enslaved the Descendants of Israel?” 22 Pharaoh said: 'And what is the Lord of the Worlds' 23 (Moses) said: "The Lord and Cherisher of the heavens and the earth, and all between,- if ye want to be quite sure." 24 (Pharaoh) said to those around: "Did ye not listen (to what he says)?" 25 He said: Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers of old. 26 (Pharaoh) said: "Truly your messenger who has been sent to you is a veritable madman!" 27 Moses continued: "(He is) the Lord of the east and the west, and all between them. If you only had any understanding!" 28 (The Pharaoh) said: "If you took another god apart from me I will have you incarcerated." 29 He said: even though I bring unto thee something manifest? 30 He (Pharaoh) replied: 'Show us your sign, if you are of the truthful' 31 So Moosa put down his staff and it became a visible serpent. 32 And he drew out his hand, and behold, it was white to all beholders! 33
