And when your Lord called to Moses, saying: 'Go to the harmdoing nation, 10 The people of Fir'awn; fear they Me not? 11 : He said: "O Lord, I fear that they will deny me. 12 My heart is constrained, my tongue falters, so delegate Aaron; 13 And they have a crime against me, so I fear that they shall slay me. 14 He said: by no means. So go ye twain with Our signs; verily We shall be with you listening. 15 Go to Pharaoh, both of you, and say, 'We are messengers from the Lord of the Worlds: 16 (Saying): Let the Children of Israel go with us. 17 (The Pharaoh) said: "Did we not bring you up as a child? And you lived a number of years of your life with us. 18 And thou didst that thy deed which thou didst, and thou wast one of the ingrates. 19 Moses replied: "I committed that act erringly. 20 "So I fled from you (all) when I feared you; but my Lord has (since) invested me with judgment (and wisdom) and appointed me as one of the messengers. 21 That is a blessing thou reproachest me with, having enslaved the Children of Israel.' 22 The Pharaoh asked: "And what is the Lord of all the worlds?" 23 Said Moosa, “Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them; if you believe.” 24 (The Pharaoh) said to those around him: "Do you hear?" 25 He said: Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers. 26 Said Firaun, “This (Noble) Messenger of yours, who has been sent towards you, has no intelligence!” 27 He said: The Lord of the east and the west and what is between them, if you understand. 28 Fir'awn said: if thou wilt take a god other than me, I shall surely place thee among the prisoners. 29 He said: Even though I show thee something plain? 30 He (Pharaoh) replied: 'Show us your sign, if you are of the truthful' 31 So he cast down his rod, and lo! it was an obvious serpent, 32 Then he uncovered his hand and it was sheer white to the onlookers. 33
