۞ AND [there came a time when] We inspired Moses thus: "Go forth with My servants by night: for, behold, you will be pursued!" 52 Then Fir'awn sent unto the cities callers: 53 They announced “These people are a small group.” 54 but they are indeed filled with hatred of us 55 and we are a host on our guard.' 56 As such We expelled them from their gardens and their fountains, 57 and treasures and a noble station; 58 even so, and We bequeathed them upon the Children of Israel. 59 The people of the Pharaoh pursued them at sunrise. 60 and, when the two hosts sighted each other, the companions of Moses said, 'We are overtaken!' 61 He replied: Nay indeed! My Sustainer is with me, [and] He will guide me!" 62 Then We inspired Moses, saying: Smite the sea with thy staff. And it parted, and each part was as a mountain vast. 63 Then We brought the others to that place. 64 We delivered Moses and all who were with him; 65 then We drowned the others. 66 Verily there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 67 Surely thy Lord, He is the All-mighty, the All-compassionate. 68
