3/4 Hizb 37
< random >
۞ By inspiration we told Moses: "Travel by night with my servants; for surely ye shall be pursued." 52 The Pharaoh sent word to all the cities saying, 53 They announced “These people are a small group.” 54 And lo! they are offenders against us. 55 "But we are a multitude amply fore-warned." 56 We deprived them (the unbelievers) of gardens, springs, 57 And treasures and a fair estate. 58 Thus it was: but [in the course of time] We were to bestow all these [things] as a heritage on the children of Israel. 59 At sunrise they set off in pursuit of them 60 And when the two companies saw one another, the companions of Moses said, "Indeed, we are to be overtaken!" 61 Moses replied, "No, My Lord is with me, and He will guide me." 62 Then We revealed to Musa: Strike the sea with your staff. So it had cloven asunder, and each part was like a huge mound. 63 And there We brought the others on, 64 And We saved Moses and those with him, every one; 65 Then We drowned the others. 66 In this there was certainly evidence (of the Truth), but most of them did not have any faith. 67 Your Lord is certainly Majestic and All-merciful. 68

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
