۞ We said to Moses: "Travel by night with My creatures. You will surely be pursued." 52 So Firon sent heralds into the cities; 53 [And said], "Indeed, those are but a small band, 54 And verily they have enraged us. 55 And verily we are host well-provided. 56 So We made them leave their gardens and springs, 57 and [deprived them of their erstwhile] station of honour!" 58 So it was; and We made the Descendants of Israel its inheritors. 59 Then they followed them at the sunrise; 60 and as soon as the two hosts came in sight of one another, the followers of Moses exclaimed: "Behold, we shall certainly be overtaken [and defeated]!" 61 (Moses) said: "By no means! my Lord is with me! Soon will He guide me!" 62 Then We revealed to Moses, (commanding him): "Strike the sea with your rod." Thereupon the sea split up, and then each became like the mass of a huge mount. 63 We also brought the other party close to the same spot, 64 We delivered Moses and all who were with him; 65 and then We caused the others to drown. 66 Surely there is a Sign in this, but most of them would not believe. 67 And verily thy Lord! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 68
