۞ AND [there came a time when] We inspired Moses thus: "Go forth with My servants by night: for, behold, you will be pursued!" 52 Then the Pharaoh sent announcers to the cities, 53 Verily these are but a band small. 54 "And they are raging furiously against us; 55 But we are a fully accounted army." 56 So We expelled them from gardens, springs, 57 And treasures and a station noble. 58 even so, and We bequeathed them upon the Children of Israel. 59 And so [the Egyptians] caught up with them at sunrise; 60 And when the two companies saw one another, the companions of Moses said, "Indeed, we are to be overtaken!" 61 Moses said: "Certainly not. My Lord is with me; He will direct me." 62 Then We revealed to Moses: 'Strike the sea with your staff', so it divided and each part was as a mighty mount. 63 In the meantime We made the others approach that place. 64 And We delivered Musa and those with him together. 65 But We drowned the others. 66 Lo! herein is indeed a portent, yet most of them are not believers. 67 Your Lord is certainly Majestic and All-merciful. 68
