۞ By inspiration we told Moses: "Travel by night with my servants; for surely ye shall be pursued." 52 Then Pharaoh sent among the cities gatherers 53 saying: "These (Israelites) are only a small band of people 54 who have enraged us greatly. 55 seeing that we are, verily, a nation united, fully prepared against danger 56 Thus did We take them away from gardens and watersprings, 57 And treasures and a station noble. 58 Thus [We turned them (Pharaoh's people) out] and We caused the Children of Israel to inherit them. 59 So they pursued them at sunrise. 60 So when the two hosts saw each other, the companions of Musa cried out: Most surely we are being overtaken. 61 Moses said: "Certainly not. My Lord is with me; He will direct me." 62 Then We revealed to Moses, 'Strike with thy staff the sea'; and it clave, and each part was as a mighty mount. 63 And We caused the pursuers to draw near unto that place: 64 We saved Moses and all the people with him 65 Then We drowned the others. 66 Surely in that is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 67 Indeed your Lord is mighty and merciful. 68
