۞ We sent a revelation to Moses telling him to leave with our servants during the night; they would be pursued (by the Pharaoh). 52 Then Pharaoh sent into the cities summoners, 53 [bidding them to call out his troops and to proclaim:] "Behold, these [children of Israel] are but a contemptible band; 54 who have certainly provoked our wrath. 55 and we are a host on our guard' 56 As such We expelled them from their gardens and their fountains, 57 And treasures and agreeable mansions. 58 Even so. And We caused the Children of Isra'il to inherit them. 59 Then they followed them at the sunrise; 60 and when the groups came face to face, the companions of Moses cried out: "We are overtaken!" 61 He replied: Nay indeed! My Sustainer is with me, [and] He will guide me!" 62 Then We bade Moses strike the sea with his staff. And it parted, and each part was like a huge mountain. 63 And there We brought the others on, 64 and We delivered Moses and those with him all together; 65 then We drowned the others. 66 Surely in that is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 67 Surely thy Lord, He is the All-mighty, the All-compassionate. 68
