۞ By inspiration we told Moses: "Travel by night with my servants; for surely ye shall be pursued." 52 Then Pharaoh sent gatherers to the cities. 53 'These' they said, 'are a small band, 54 And most surely they have enraged us; 55 But we are a fully accounted army." 56 Thus did We take them away from gardens and watersprings, 57 Treasures, and every kind of honourable place. 58 So it was; and We made the Descendants of Israel its inheritors. 59 Then they pursued them at sunrise. 60 When the two forces drew within seeing distance of each other, the people of Moses said: "We shall certainly be overtaken." 61 He replied: Nay indeed! My Sustainer is with me, [and] He will guide me!" 62 So We sent the divine revelation to Moosa that, “Strike the sea with your staff”; thereupon the sea parted; so each part was like a huge mountain. 63 And We brought the others close to that place. 64 We delivered Moses and all who were with him; 65 Then drowned the others. 66 Surely in that is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 67 And verily thy Lord! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 68
