And recite to them the story of Ibrahim. 69 When he said to his father and his people, "What do you worship?" 70 They answered: "There are some idols that we worship and are devoted to them with constancy." 71 'Do they hear you when you call on them' He asked. 72 “Or do they benefit you or harm you?” 73 They said, "No, but our fathers worshipped them." 74 Abraham said, "Have you really thought about what you have been worshipping, 75 You and your ancient forefathers? 76 "Verily! They are enemies to me, save the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists); 77 who has created me and is the One who guides me, 78 It is He who gives me food and drink 79 He who cures me when I am ill; 80 and who will cause me to die and then will bring me back to life 81 and He who will, I hope, forgive me my faults on the Day of the Judgement. 82 “My Lord, bestow me the command and join me with those who deserve your proximity.” 83 and grant me the power to convey the truth unto those who will come after me, 84 Make me one of the inheritors of the Garden of Bliss 85 and forgive my father; for he is one of the misguided; 86 "And let me not be in disgrace on the Day when (men) will be raised up;- 87 the Day when nothing will avail, neither wealth nor offspring, 88 Save him who bringeth unto Allah a whole heart. 89 And the garden shall be brought near for those who guard (against evil), 90 And hell will appear plainly to the erring. 91 who will be asked, "What did you worship 92 "'Besides Allah? Can they help you or help themselves?' 93 They will then be thrown into Hell with those who had gone astray 94 and the hosts of iblis all together. 95 And they will say while they dispute with one another, 96 By Allah, of a truth we were in error manifest 97 “When we considered you equal to the Lord Of The Creation.” 98 No one but the sinners led us astray. 99 and we have no intercessors now, 100 Nor any loving friend. 101 Would that we could have a chance to live again so that we might become believers." 102 In this there is evidence (of the truth), but many of them do not have any faith. 103 And indeed your Lord – only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 104
