And recite to them the tiding of Abraham 69 when he asked his father and his people: "What do you worship?" 70 They replied: 'We worship idols and continue cleaving to them' 71 He said: Do they hear you when you call? 72 Or do they benefit you, or do you harm?" 73 They said: Nay, we found our fathers doing so. 74 (Abraham) said, "Do you know that what you worship 75 You and your ancient sires. 76 are my enemies? Not so the Lord of the Universe. 77 He created me and He will guide me. 78 "And it is He Who feeds me and gives me to drink. 79 "And when I am ill, it is He Who cures me; 80 And Who causeth me to die, then giveth me life (again), 81 And Who, I hope, will forgive me my mistakes on the day of judgment. 82 My Lord, give me judgment, and join me with the righteous. 83 And uphold my name with posterity, 84 and make me of those who will inherit the Garden of Bliss, 85 and forgive my father, for he was among the astray. 86 And abase me not on the day when they are raised, 87 The Day when there will not benefit [anyone] wealth or children 88 Except him who brings to Allah a clean heart [clean from Shirk (polytheism) and Nifaq (hypocrisy)]. 89 and Paradise shall be brought forward to the cautious. 90 and Hell shall be revealed to the misguided, 91 And it shall be said unto them where is that which ye were wont to worship? 92 Beside Allah? Can they succour you or succour themselves? 93 So they will be overturned into Hellfire, they and the deviators 94 and Satan's legions, all together. 95 And they will say while they dispute with one another, 96 By Allah! we were certainly in manifest error, 97 when we made you equal with the Lord of the Worlds. 98 No one but the sinners led us astray. 99 We have no intercessors now, 100 “Nor a caring friend.” 101 Then if we only had a return [to the world] and could be of the believers... " 102 There is certainly a sign in that, but most of them would not believe: 103 Your Lord is certainly Majestic and All-merciful. 104
