And recite to them the tiding of Abraham 69 when he asked his father and his people, "What is that which you worship?" 70 They answered: "There are some idols that we worship and are devoted to them with constancy." 71 He said: hearken they unto you when ye cry? 72 "Or do they benefit you or do they harm (you)?" 73 They said: nay; but we found our fathers doing in this wise. 74 He said, "Then do you see what you have been worshipping, 75 you and your fathers, the elders? 76 "For they are enemies to me; not so the Lord and Cherisher of the Worlds; 77 "Who created me, and it is He Who guides me; 78 "And the One Who feeds me and gives me to drink." 79 and Who, when I am ill, heals me; 80 Who will make me die, then give me life again, 81 And Who, I hope, will forgive me my mistakes on the day of judgment. 82 "O my Sustainer! Endow me with the ability to judge [between right and wrong,] and make me one with the righteous, 83 And ordain for me a goodly mention among posterity 84 And make me one of the inheritors of the Garden of Delight. 85 Forgive me and my father: He was surely among those who went astray. 86 Do not betray me 87 The Day when neither wealth nor sons shall benefit 88 [and when] only he [will be happy] who comes before God with a heart free of evil!" 89 When Paradise shall be brought near to the God-fearing 90 and Hell shall be revealed to the misguided, 91 they will be asked, "Where are those whom you worshipped 92 Beside Allah? Can they succour you or succour themselves? 93 They will then be thrown into Hell with those who had gone astray 94 and the army of satan will all be thrown headlong into hell. 95 And there and then, blaming one another, they [who had grievously sinned in life] will exclaim: 96 "We were clearly misguided 97 When we equalled you with the Lord of the worlds. 98 "'And our seducers were only those who were steeped in guilt. 99 So now we have no intercessors 100 And not a devoted friend. 101 If only we could return we would be among the believers." 102 Surely in that is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 103 And lo, thy Lord! He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. 104

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
