The people of Noah also rejected the messengers. 105 Recall when their brother Noah said to them: "Do you have no fear? 106 I am a trustworthy messenger for you: 107 "So fear Allah, keep your duty to Him, and obey me. 108 "And no reward whatever do I ask of you for it: my reward rests with none but the Sustainer of all the worlds. 109 So guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me. 110 ۞ They said: "Should we place our trust in you when only the condemned follow you?" 111 He said: "And what knowledge have I of what they used to do? 112 Their account falls only upon My Lord, if you were but aware. 113 I do not drive away the believers. 114 I am only a clear warner." 115 'Noah' they replied, 'if you do not desist you shall be of those stoned' 116 He said: my Lord! verily my people have belied me. 117 Therefore judge You between me and them, and save me and those of the believers who are with me." 118 And We saved him and those with him in the laden ship. 119 And drowned the rest of them. 120 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 121 And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 122

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
