The people of Noah [too] gave the lie to [one of God's] message-bearers 105 Recall when their brother Noah said to them: "Do you have no fear? 106 Lo! I am a faithful messenger unto you, 107 so fear Allah, and obey me. 108 And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds. 109 So fear Allah and obey me." 110 ۞ They said, "Should we believe you while you are followed by the lowest [class of people]?" 111 He said: I have no knowledge of that which they have been Working. 112 "Their account is only with my Lord, if ye could (but) understand. 113 I will not drive away the believers. 114 I am none but a plain warner." 115 They said: If you desist not, O Nuh, you shall most certainly be of those stoned to death. 116 He prayed: "O Lord, verily my people accuse me of lies. 117 so give true deliverance between me and them, and deliver me and the believers that are with me. 118 So We delivered him, and those with him, in the laden ship, 119 and drowned the rest. 120 Verily, in this is indeed a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 121 Your Lord is Majestic and All-merciful. 122
