The people of Nuh (Noah) belied the Messengers. 105 When their fellowman Nooh said to them, “Do you not fear?” 106 I am a trustworthy messenger for you: 107 so serve you God, and obey you me. 108 For this I ask of you no wage, for my wage falls only on the Lord of the Worlds. 109 so fear you God, and obey you me.' 110 ۞ They said: shall We believe in thee when the meanest follow thee? 111 Noah said: "What knowledge do I have about their deeds? 112 Their account is only with my Lord, if you could perceive 113 "I am not one to drive away those who believe. 114 I am only a plain warner." 115 They said, "Noah, if you do not desist, you will be stoned." 116 He said: "My Lord! Verily, my people have belied me. 117 "Judge Thou, then, between me and them openly, and deliver me and those of the Believers who are with me." 118 So We delivered him, and those with him, in the laden ship, 119 Then We drowned the rest (disbelievers) thereafter. 120 In this [story,] behold, there is a message [unto men,] even though most of them will not believe [in it]. 121 And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 122
