The people of Noah also rejected the messengers. 105 span class="col">Their brother Noah asked them, "Why do you not fear God? 106 Behold, I am an apostle [sent by Him] to you, [and therefore] worthy of your trust: 107 So fear Allah and obey me. 108 For this I ask of you no wage, for my wage falls only on the Lord of the Worlds. 109 So fear Allah and obey me. 110 ۞ They said, "Should we believe in you when no one has followed you except the lowest ones". 111 He said: "And what do I know as to what they do? 112 Their account falls only upon My Lord, if you were but aware. 113 “And I will not repel the Muslims.” 114 I am only a plain warner. 115 They said, "If you do not desist, O Noah, you will surely be of those who are stoned." 116 He said: "My Lord! My people have branded me a liar. 117 Therefore judge You between me and them, and save me and those of the believers who are with me." 118 So We delivered him and those with him in the laden ark. 119 Then after it, We drowned the rest. 120 Verily there is a sign in this, yet many of them do not believe. 121 And most surely your Lord is the Mighty, the Merciful. 122

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
