The people of Noah cried lies to the Envoys 105 When their brother Noah said to them, "Will you not fear Allah? 106 Surely I am a faithful apostle to you; 107 Therefore guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me 108 And I ask of you no hire therefor; my hire is but with the Lord of the worlds. 109 So fear Allah and obey me." 110 ۞ They answered: "Shall we place our faith in thee, even though [only] the most abject [of people] follow thee?" 111 He said, "And what is my knowledge of what they used to do? 112 "Their account is only with my Lord, if you could (but) know. 113 And I am not to drive away the believers. 114 I am nothing but a plain warner." 115 They said, “O Nooh, if you do not desist you will surely be stoned.” 116 [Whereupon] he prayed: "O my Sustainer! Behold, my people have given me the lie: 117 "Judge Thou, then, between me and them openly, and deliver me and those of the Believers who are with me." 118 So We delivered him and those with him in the loaded ark, 119 and drowned the rest. 120 There is certainly a sign in that; but most of them do not believe: 121 And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 122
