The people of Noah also rejected the messengers. 105 When their brother Noah said unto them: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 106 Verily I am unto you an apostle trusted. 107 be, then, conscious of God, and pay heed unto me! 108 For this I ask of you no wage, for my wage falls only on the Lord of the Worlds. 109 So fear Allah and obey me' 110 ۞ They said: Shall we believe in you while the meanest follow you? 111 He said, 'What knowledge have I of that they have been doing? 112 Their account falls only upon My Lord, if you were but aware. 113 I am certainly not one to drive away the believers. 114 I am only a plain warner." 115 They said: "If you cease not, O Nuh (Noah)! You will surely be among those stoned (to death)." 116 He said: My Lord! Lo! my own folk deny me. 117 So pass a clear judgement between me and them and rescue me and the believers with me." 118 We saved him and those who were with him in the laden ship, 119 And drowned the rest of them. 120 Most surely there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 121 And most surely your Lord is the Mighty, the Merciful. 122
