The people of Noah also rejected the messengers. 105 When their brother Noah said to them: "Will you not take heed? 106 I am a trustworthy Messenger to you; 107 "So fear Allah, keep your duty to Him, and obey me. 108 And I ask of you no wage therefor; my wage is the concern only of the Lord of the Worlds. 109 so fear God and obey me." 110 ۞ They said: Shall we believe in you while the meanest follow you? 111 He said, “What do I know what their deeds are?” 112 Their account falls only upon my Lord, were you but aware. 113 And I am not going to drive away the believers; 114 I am only a clear warner." 115 They said: "O Noah! If you do not desist, you will certainly become one of the accursed." 116 He said: My Lord! Surely my people give me the lie! 117 So pass a clear judgement between me and them and rescue me and the believers with me." 118 We saved him and those who were with him in a fully laden Ark, 119 afterwards, We drowned the rest. 120 In this [story,] behold, there is a message [unto men,] even though most of them will not believe [in it]. 121 And lo, thy Lord, He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. 122
