The people of Noah [too] gave the lie to [one of God's] message-bearers 105 span class="col">Their brother Noah asked them, "Why do you not fear God? 106 I am for you a faithful Messenger, 107 "So fear Allah, keep your duty to Him, and obey me. 108 "No reward do I ask of you for it: my reward is only from the Lord of the Worlds: 109 so fear God and obey me." 110 ۞ They said: "Shall we believe in thee when it is the meanest that follow thee?" 111 He said: I have no knowledge of that which they have been Working. 112 "Their account is only with my Lord, if you could (but) know. 113 "And I am not going to drive away the believers. 114 I am only a plain admonisher." 115 They said: If you desist not, O Nuh, you shall most certainly be of those stoned to death. 116 He prayed: "O Lord, verily my people accuse me of lies. 117 therefore, judge decisively between me and them; and save me and the believers who are with me." 118 And We saved him and those with him in the laden ship. 119 And drowned the rest of them. 120 Indeed in this is a sign; and most of them were not believers. 121 Your Lord is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 122
