The people of Noah gave the lie to the Messengers. 105 span class="col">Their brother Noah asked them, "Why do you not fear God? 106 I have been sent as a trusted messenger to you. 107 fear God, and obey me. 108 I ask no payment from you for my preaching. The Lord of the Universe will give me my reward. 109 So keep your duty to Allah, and obey me. 110 ۞ They said, 'Shall we believe thee, whom the vilest follow?' 111 He said, “What do I know what their deeds are?” 112 “Indeed their account is only upon my Lord, if you perceive.” 113 I do not drive away the believers. 114 I am only a plain admonisher." 115 They said: "If you cease not, O Nuh (Noah)! You will surely be among those stoned (to death)." 116 Noah said, "My Lord, my people have rejected me, 117 therefore, judge decisively between me and them; and save me and the believers who are with me." 118 So We saved him, and those who were with him in the laden ark, 119 and then We caused those who stayed behind to drown. 120 Verily there is a sign in this, yet many of them do not believe. 121 And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 122
