The people of Noah [too] gave the lie to [one of God's] message-bearers 105 When their brother Noah said to them, "Will you have no fear of God? 106 Verily I am unto you an apostle trusted. 107 “Therefore fear Allah, and obey me.” 108 I ask no payment from you for my preaching. The Lord of the Universe will give me my reward. 109 So keep your duty to Allah, and obey me. 110 ۞ They said: "Shall we believe in thee when it is the meanest that follow thee?" 111 He said, "What knowledge do I have of their doings? 112 Their account falls only upon My Lord, if you were but aware. 113 And I am not to drive away the believers. 114 I am nothing but a plain warner." 115 Said they: "Indeed, if thou desist not, O Noah, thou wilt surely be stoned to death!" 116 He said: "My Lord! My people have branded me a liar. 117 Therefore judge Thou between me and them with a (just) judgment, and deliver me and those who are with me of the believers. 118 So We delivered him and those with him, in the Ark filled (with all creatures). 119 and drowned the rest. 120 Surely there is a Sign in this, but most of them would not believe. 121 But surely your Lord is mighty and merciful. 122
