Alshu'araa' 6 of 11
The people of Nuh (Noah) belied the Messengers. 105 when their brother Noah said unto them: "Will you not be conscious of God? 106 "I am to you a messenger worthy of all trust: 107 so fear Allah, and obey me. 108 "No reward do I ask of you for it: my reward is only from the Lord of the Worlds: 109 So fear Allah and obey me." 110 ۞ They said, “Shall we believe in you, whereas the abject people are with you?” 111 He said, "What knowledge do I have of their doings? 112 It is only for my Lord to take account of them. Would that you made use of your understanding! 113 And I am not to drive away the believers. 114 I am only a plain warner." 115 'Noah' they replied, 'if you do not desist you shall be of those stoned' 116 He said: "My Lord! Verily, my people have belied me. 117 hence, lay Thou wide open the truth between me and them, and save me and those of the believers who are with me!" 118 And so We saved him and those [who were] with him in the fully-laden ark, 119 Then We drowned the rest thereafter. 120 Surely in that is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 121 And indeed your Lord, only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 122
