(The nation of) Aad belied their Messengers. 123 When their fellowman Hud said to them, “Do you not fear?” 124 I am a trustworthy Messengers sent to you. 125 so fear you God, and obey you me. 126 "No reward do I ask of you for it: my reward is only from the Lord of the Worlds. 127 What, do you build on every prominence a sign, sporting, 128 And take for yourselves palaces and fortresses that you might abide eternally? 129 "And when you seize, seize you as tyrants? 130 So be fearful of God and follow me. 131 fear Him who has aided you with all that you know -- 132 Who has provided you with flocks and children 133 gardens and fountains. 134 Lo! I fear for you the retribution of an awful day. 135 They said: it is equal unto us whether thou admonishest or art not of the admonishers. 136 This is just a habit of antiquated people. 137 “And we will not be punished.” 138 In this there is evidence (of the Truth), yet most of them do not have any faith. 139 And most surely your Lord is the Mighty, the Merciful. 140
