My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds. 127 "Do ye build a landmark on every high place to amuse yourselves? 128 and make for yourselves mighty castles, [hoping] that you might become immortal? 129 "And when you seize, seize you as tyrants? 130 So fear Allah and obey me. 131 fear Him who has aided you with all that you know -- 132 Provided you with grazing livestock and children 133 gardens, and springs. 134 “Indeed I fear upon you the punishment of a Great Day.” 135 They said: "It is the same to us whether you preach or be not of those who preach. 136 That is nothing but a habit of the ancients, 137 and we shall never be punished' 138 So they belied him, and We destroyed them. Verily! In this is indeed a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 139 And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 140
