Thamood cried lies to the Envoys 141 When their brother Salih said unto them: fear ye not? 142 "I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 143 so fear God and obey me. 144 'I ask of you no wage for this; my wage falls only upon the Lord of all Being. 145 Will you be left in what is here, secure [from death], 146 amidst the gardens, springs, 147 sown fields, and palms with slender spathes? 148 Though ye hew out dwellings in the mountain, being skilful? 149 "So fear Allah, keep your duty to Him, and obey me. 150 “And do not follow those who exceed the limits.” 151 "Who make mischief in the land, and mend not (their ways)." 152 They replied: "You are nothing but one of those who are bewitched; 153 “You are just a human like us; therefore bring some sign if you are truthful.” 154 He said: 'Here is a shecamel. She shall have her share of water as you have yours on an appointed day. 155 "And touch her not with harm, lest the torment of a Great Day seize you." 156 But they cruelly slaughtered her - and then they had cause to regret it: 157 and the punishment seized them. Surely, in that there is a sign. Yet most of them do not believe. 158 Verily Your Lord is Immensely Mighty, Most Compassionate. 159

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. (3) وقف جائز مع تساوي أولوية الوقف والوصل، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال النصف للنصف. (4) وقف جائز مع الوصل أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلث. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
