The people of Lot rejected the Messengers. 160 When their brother Lut said to them: Will you not guard (against evil)? 161 I am for you a faithful Messenger, 162 so fear you God, and obey you me. 163 I ask no recompense of you for this. My reward is due from none but the Lord of all the worlds. 164 Do you, in the world, want to have carnal relations with males 165 "And leave those whom Allah has created for you to be your mates? Nay, ye are a people transgressing (all limits)!" 166 They said: "If you cease not. O Lout (Lot)! Verily, you will be one of those who are driven out!" 167 He said, "Indeed, I am, toward your deed, of those who detest [it]. 168 My Lord, deliver me and my people from that they do.' 169 So We saved him and his household, every one, 170 Except one old woman, who stayed behind. 171 Then We destroyed the others. 172 And rained on them a shower (of Stones). How terrible was the rain (that fell) on those who had been warned! 173 Surely there is a Sign in this, but most of them would not believe. 174 And indeed your Lord – only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 175
