Lot's nation, belied their Messengers. 160 When their brother Lot said to them: "Will you not take heed? 161 I have been sent as a trusted messenger to you. 162 So fear Allah, and obey me. 163 I ask of you no wage for this; my wage is only with the Lord of the Worlds. 164 What! do you come to the males from among the creatures 165 And leave ye your spouses your Lord hath created for you? Aye! ye are a people trespassing. 166 They said: if thou desistest not, O Lut! thou shalt surely be of those driven forth. 167 He said: Surely I am of those who utterly abhor your doing; 168 “My Lord, rescue me and my family from their deeds.” 169 So We delivered him and his people all together, 170 except an old woman who was among those that stayed behind. 171 Thereafter, We utterly destroyed the rest, 172 We rained down on them a shower (of brimstone): and evil was the shower on those who were admonished (but heeded not)! 173 In this there is an evidence of the Truth, but many of them did not have any faith. 174 Verily Your Lord is Immensely Mighty, Most Compassionate. 175
