The people of Lot denied the messengers 160 When their brother Lot said to them, "Will you not fear Allah? 161 “I am indeed a trustworthy Noble Messenger of Allah to you.” 162 “Therefore fear Allah and obey me.” 163 "No reward do I ask of you for it (my Message of Islamic Monotheism), my reward is only from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 164 What, of all creation will you go to (fornicate with) the males, 165 Leaving the consorts your Lord has made for you? But you are a people who exceed the bounds." 166 They said, "If you do not desist, O Lot, you will surely be of those evicted." 167 He said: "I am one of those who abhor your practice. 168 Lord, save me and my family from their deeds." 169 So We saved him and his family, all, 170 except for an old woman who stayed behind, 171 then We destroyed the others, 172 and We poured a rain [of destruction] down upon them -- and how evil was the rain which fell on those who were forewarned. 173 Verily herein is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 174 And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might Most Merciful. 175
