The people of Lut rejected the messengers. 160 When their brother Lout (Lot) said to them: "Will you not fear Allah and obey Him? 161 Verily I am unto you an apostle trusted. 162 Therefore guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me: 163 “And I do not ask from you any fee for it; my reward is only upon the Lord Of The Creation.” 164 "Of all the creatures in the world, will ye approach males, 165 and leave your wives whom your Lord has created for you? No, but you are a transgressing nation' 166 They said: "If you cease not. O Lout (Lot)! Verily, you will be one of those who are driven out!" 167 He said, "I certainly hate what you practice. 168 "O my Lord! deliver me and my family from such things as they do!" 169 We saved him and all of his family, 170 Except one old woman, who stayed behind. 171 Thereafter, We utterly destroyed the rest, 172 And We rained on them a rain (of torment). And how evil was the rain of those who had been warned. 173 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 174 And indeed your Lord – only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 175
