The people of Lot rejected the Messengers. 160 When their brother Lot said to them, "Will you not fear God? 161 Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger. 162 So fear Allah, and obey me. 163 "No reward do I ask of you for it (my Message of Islamic Monotheism), my reward is only from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 164 Why do you go for males unlike all other creatures 165 "And leave those whom Allah has created for you to be your mates? Nay, ye are a people transgressing (all limits)!" 166 They said: "If you do not desist, O Lot, you will be expelled (from the city)." 167 He said: Surely I am of those who utterly abhor your doing; 168 My Lord, deliver me and my family from their wicked deeds." 169 So We saved him and his whole family 170 except an old woman who was among those that stayed behind. 171 then We destroyed the others, 172 We rained down on them a shower (of brimstone): and evil was the shower on those who were admonished (but heeded not)! 173 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 174 And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. 175
