The people of Lot rejected the Messengers, branding them liars. 160 When their brother Lut said to them: Will you not guard (against evil)? 161 Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger. 162 “Therefore fear Allah and obey me.” 163 I ask of you no wage for this; my wage falls only upon the Lord of all Being. 164 “What! Among all the creatures, you commit the immoral acts with men?” 165 And leave ye your spouses your Lord hath created for you? Aye! ye are a people trespassing. 166 They said: If thou cease not, O Lot, thou wilt soon be of the outcast. 167 He said, "Indeed, I am, toward your deed, of those who detest [it]. 168 “My Lord, rescue me and my family from their deeds.” 169 So We saved him and his family, all, 170 Except an old woman (his wife) among those who remained behind. 171 and then We utterly destroyed the others, 172 And We rained on them a rain. And dreadful is the rain of those who have been warned. 173 Verily in this is a Sign: but most of them do not believe. 174 Your Lord is Majestic and All-merciful. 175
