The people of Lut rejected the messengers. 160 when their brother Lot said to them, 'Will you not be godfearing? 161 "Verily! I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 162 So fear God and listen to me. 163 “And I do not ask from you any fee for it; my reward is only upon the Lord Of The Creation.” 164 What, of all creation will you go to (fornicate with) the males, 165 And leave what your Lord has created for you of your wives? Nay, you are a people exceeding limits. 166 They said: "O Lot! If you do not desist, you will be one of those expelled (from our towns)." 167 He said, "I am one of those who abhors your ways. 168 “My Lord, rescue me and my family from their deeds.” 169 So We saved him and all his people, 170 Save an old woman among those who stayed behind. 171 then We destroyed the others. 172 And We rained on them a rain (of torment). And how evil was the rain of those who had been warned. 173 Verily in this was a sign, but most of them do not believe. 174 But, verily, thy Sustainer - He alone - is almighty, a dispenser of grace! 175
