The people of Lot cried lies to the Envoys 160 When their brother Lot said to them: "Will you not take heed? 161 Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger. 162 So fear Allah, and obey me. 163 "No reward do I ask of you for it (my Message of Islamic Monotheism), my reward is only from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 164 What! do you come to the males from among the creatures 165 keeping yourselves aloof from all the [lawful] spouses whom your Sustainer has created for you? Nay, but you are people who transgress all bounds of what is right!" 166 'Lot' they replied, 'if you do not desist, you shall be thrown out' 167 He said: I am in truth of those who hate your conduct. 168 Lord, save me and my family from their deeds." 169 So We saved him and his family, all, 170 Except an old woman, among those who remained behind. 171 We destroyed the others 172 And We showered a rain upon them; so what a wretched rain for those who were warned! 173 Verily in this was a sign, but most of them do not believe. 174 And lo! thy Lord, He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. 175
