The people of Lut denied the Noble Messengers. 160 When their brother Lot said to them: "Will you not take heed? 161 I am for you a faithful Messenger, 162 So fear Allah, and obey me. 163 And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds. 164 Go ye in, of all creatures, unto the males? 165 keeping yourselves aloof from all the [lawful] spouses whom your Sustainer has created for you? Nay, but you are people who transgress all bounds of what is right!" 166 They said: if thou desistest not, O Lut! thou shalt surely be of those driven forth. 167 He said: "I am one of those who abhor your practice. 168 My Lord, deliver me and my people from that they do.' 169 So We saved him and all his people, 170 all but an old woman, who was among those that stayed behind; 171 Then We destroyed the others. 172 And We rained on them a rain. So ill was the rain on those warned? 173 Surely there is a Sign in this, but most of them would not believe. 174 And most surely your Lord is the Mighty, the Merciful. 175

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
