The people of Lut rejected the messengers. 160 Behold, their brother Lut said to them: "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 161 I am a trustworthy Messenger. 162 So fear Allah and obey me. 163 "No reward do I ask of you for it: my reward is only from the lord of the Worlds. 164 What! Of all creatures do ye come unto the males, 165 Leaving the consorts your Lord has made for you? But you are a people who exceed the bounds." 166 They said, “O Lut, if you do not desist, you will be expelled.” 167 He said: I am in truth of those who hate your conduct. 168 My Lord, save me and my family from their evil doings." 169 So We saved him and all his people, 170 Except an old woman (his wife) among those who remained behind. 171 Then We utterly destroyed the others. 172 We rained upon them a rain, and evil is the rain (of stones) on those that are warned. 173 Verily in this was a sign, but most of them do not believe. 174 And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might Most Merciful. 175
