The people of Lut denied the Noble Messengers. 160 When their brother Lot said to them: 'Will you not be cautious? 161 "Verily! I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 162 Have fear of God and obey me. 163 I ask no recompense of you for this. My reward is due from none but the Lord of all the worlds. 164 "Go you in unto the males of the 'Alamin (mankind), 165 "And leave those whom Allah has created for you to be your mates? Nay, ye are a people transgressing (all limits)!" 166 Said they: "Indeed, If thou desist not, O Lot, thou wilt most certainly be expelled [from this township]!" 167 He said: "I am, indeed, of those who disapprove with severe anger and fury your (this evil) action (of sodomy). 168 My Lord, deliver me and my family from their wicked deeds." 169 So We saved him and his family, all, 170 Save an old woman among those who stayed behind. 171 Then We destroyed the rest of them, 172 We rained upon them a rain, and evil is the rain (of stones) on those that are warned. 173 Most surely there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 174 Yet surely your Lord is mighty and powerful. 175
