The people of Lot denied the messengers 160 When their brother Lout (Lot) said to them: "Will you not fear Allah and obey Him? 161 "Verily! I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 162 So fear Allah and obey me. 163 "No reward do I ask of you for it (my Message of Islamic Monotheism), my reward is only from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 164 Why do you go for males unlike all other creatures 165 And leave ye your spouses your Lord hath created for you? Aye! ye are a people trespassing. 166 They said: "O Lot! If you do not desist, you will be one of those expelled (from our towns)." 167 He said, "I certainly hate what you practice. 168 (And prayed:) "O Lord, save me and my family from what they do." 169 So We delivered him and his family,- all 170 Save an old woman among the lingerers. 171 then We destroyed the others, 172 by pouring upon them a terrible shower of rain. How evil was the rain for those who had been warned! 173 Verily in this is a Sign: but most of them do not believe. 174 And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might Most Merciful. 175
