The people of Lut gave the lie to the apostles. 160 Their brother Lot asked them, "Why do you not have fear of God? 161 I have been sent as a trusted messenger to you. 162 “Therefore fear Allah and obey me.” 163 "No reward do I ask of you for it (my Message of Islamic Monotheism), my reward is only from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 164 "Must you, of all people, [lustfully] approach men, 165 “And leave the wives your Lord has created for you? In fact you are people who exceed the limits.” 166 They said: If you desist not, O Lut! you shall surely be of those who are expelled. 167 He said: I am in truth of those who hate your conduct. 168 My Lord! deliver me and my followers from what they do. 169 So We saved him and his family, all, 170 except for an old woman who stayed behind, 171 and then We utterly destroyed the others, 172 We rained down on them a shower (of brimstone): and evil was the shower on those who were admonished (but heeded not)! 173 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 174 And verily thy Lord! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 175
