Then the people of Lot rejected the messengers. 160 When their brother Lut said to them: Will you not guard (against evil)? 161 I am for you an honest Messenger. 162 So keep your duty to Allah and obey me. 163 I ask of you no wage for this; my wage is only with the Lord of the Worlds. 164 What! do you come to the males from among the creatures 165 instead of your wives, whom your Lord has created specially for you? You are a transgressing people." 166 They said: "If you cease not. O Lout (Lot)! Verily, you will be one of those who are driven out!" 167 He said: Surely I am of those who utterly abhor your doing; 168 "O my Lord! deliver me and my family from such things as they do!" 169 We therefore rescued him and his entire family. 170 Except an old woman among those who remained behind. 171 Thereafter We annihilated the rest. 172 And We rained down upon them a rain, and evil was the rain on those warned. 173 Verily in this is a Sign: but most of them do not believe. 174 And verily! Your Lord, He is indeed the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 175
