The dwellers of the forest also rejected the Messengers. 176 When Shu'aib said to them: "Will you not take heed? 177 I am a trustworthy messenger to you: 178 Have fear of God and obey me. 179 I ask of you no recompense for this; my reward is only with the Lord of the Universe. 180 ۞ Give full measure, and be not of those who cause others to lose. 181 "And weigh with the true and straight balance. 182 and do not diminish the goods of the people, and do not make mischief in the earth, working corruption. 183 "And fear Him Who created you and the generations of the men of old." 184 They said, “You are under a magic spell.” 185 And thou art but a human being like unto us, and we deem thee to be of the liars. 186 Drop down on us lumps from heaven, if you are one of the truthful' 187 He said, "My Lord knows all that you do." 188 But they called him a liar, so the punishment of the day of covering overtook them; surely it was the punishment of a grievous day. 189 Surely, in this is indeed a sign; but most of them would not believe: 190 Your Lord is Majestic and All-merciful. 191

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
