[AND] the dwellers of the wooded dales [of Madyan] gave the lie to [one of God's] message-bearers 176 Behold, Shu'aib said to them: "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 177 Verily I am unto you an apostle trusted. 178 So fear Allah and obey me. 179 And I do not ask you any reward for it, my reward is only with the Lord of the worlds; 180 ۞ Fill up the measure and do not diminish the goods of people, 181 and weigh with the straight balance, 182 and do not defraud people in their property or spread evil in the land. 183 So fear Him Who created you and the former generations. 184 They said, 'Thou art merely one of those that are bewitched; 185 And thou art but a human being like unto us, and we deem thee to be of the liars. 186 Let a part of the sky fall on us if what you say is true". 187 He said, “My Lord is Well Aware of what you do.” 188 But they called him a liar, so the punishment of the day of covering overtook them; surely it was the punishment of a grievous day. 189 In this there is an evidence of the Truth, but many of them did not have any faith. 190 your Lord is the Mighty One, the Merciful. 191
