Alshu'araa' 10 of 11
The dwellers of Al-Aiyka [near Madyan (Midian)] belied the Messengers. 176 When Shuaib said to all of them, “Do you not fear?” 177 Verily I am unto you an apostle trusted. 178 So keep your duty to Allah and obey me. 179 my wage falls only upon the Lord of all Being. 180 ۞ Give full measure and do not be of those who cause loss. 181 "And weigh with the true and straight balance. 182 and do not deprive people of what is rightfully theirs; and do not act wickedly on earth by spreading corruption, 183 Fear He who created you, and the generations of the ancient' 184 They said: thou art but of the bewitched; 185 “You are just a human like us, and indeed we consider you a liar.” 186 "So cause a piece of the heaven to fall on us, if you are of the truthful!" 187 He said: My Lord is Best Aware of what ye do. 188 But they belied him, so the torment of the day of shadow (a gloomy cloud) seized them, indeed that was the torment of a Great Day. 189 Verily, in this is indeed a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 190 And verily! Your Lord, He is indeed the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 191
