The companions of the thicket denied the messengers 176 Shu'ayb asked them, "Why do you not have fear of God? 177 I am a trustworthy Messengers. 178 "So fear Allah and obey me. 179 "No reward do I ask of you for it: my reward is only from the Lord of the Worlds. 180 ۞ "Give just measure, and cause no loss (to others by fraud). 181 Weigh on an even balance. 182 and diminish not the goods of the people, and do not mischief in the earth, working corruption. 183 but be conscious of Him who has created you, just as [He created] those countless generations of old!" 184 They said: "You are only one of those bewitched! 185 And you are naught but a mortal like ourselves, and we know you to be certainly of the liars. 186 Cause, then, fragments of the sky to fall down upon us, if thou art a man of truth!" 187 He said, “My Lord is Well Aware of what you do.” 188 But they called him a liar, so the punishment of the day of covering overtook them; surely it was the punishment of a grievous day. 189 Verily, in this is indeed a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 190 And verily thy Lord! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 191
