The Companions of the Wood rejected the messengers. 176 Recall, when Shuayb said to them: "Have you no fear? 177 "I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 178 So fear Allah, and obey me. 179 "No reward do I ask of you for it: my reward is only from the Lord of the Worlds. 180 ۞ “Measure in full, and do not be of those who reduce.” 181 And weigh (things) with a right balance, 182 and do not deprive people of what is rightfully theirs; and do not act wickedly on earth by spreading corruption, 183 So fear Him Who created you and the former generations. 184 They said: thou art but of the bewitched; 185 You are but a man like ourselves, and indeed, we think you are among the liars. 186 "Now cause a piece of the sky to fall on us, if thou art truthful!" 187 He said, "My Lord knows all that you do." 188 But they cried him lies; then there seized them the chastisement of the Day of Shadow; assuredly it was the chastisement of a dreadful day. 189 Verily herein is a sign; but most of them are not believers. 190 Your Lord is Majestic and All-merciful. 191
